Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the ISMD; we are incredibly grateful for your assistance and excited to make a difference together!

While we are open to all contributions, we currently have a special need for the following positions listed below.

These positions will be fully remote, and the time commitment can vary depending on your availability.

Social Media and Community manager:

Tasks

  • Engage with community
  • Share posts on relevant pages and groups
  • Tag individuals and organizations where appropriate
  • Share important posts on our pages and stories
  • Follow and engage with profiles of interest
  • Respond to comments and messages
  • Share content on Reddit when relevant

Skills:

  • Proficient in social media platforms (at least Facebook, Instagram)
  • High emotional intelligence and sensitivity
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate varying tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of social media functionality

Graphic designer 

Tasks:

  • Create graphic content from written material
  • Format articles for the website
  • Design and format newsletters
  • Create graphics as needed
  • Design cover images for YouTube, Reels, Blog, etc.
  • Generate images for various purposes
  • Assist in managing the website

Skills:

  • Strong visual sensitivity and creativity (please be ready to send us some examples)
  • Proficiency in Canva or Adobe Suite

Governance & Compliance Administrator

Position Overview:

The G&C Administrator will assist in the development of policies and procedures that help to govern the organisation both legally and ethically. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a small committee with a shared mission to help create the backbone of the organisation. Volunteers will support each other through to project completion, with supervision by an internal project manager.

Volunteers will be supported to transfer into other positions within the ISMD upon finishing the term of engagement should they wish to.

Requirements and skills:

This position does not require any legal training or previous experience in the governance sector

An interest in supporting the growth and mission of the ISMD

Good organisational and written skills

Tasks:

  • Document Writing: Drafting of individual policies and procedures allocated to you (with agreement) for further review and edit by the committee
  • Review & Editing: Supporting the drafting efforts of your fellow colleagues by offering proof-reading and suggested edits
  • Research: Learning about regulations and procedures relevant to allocated documents, through the means of internet research, AI-assisted support, or consult with other organisations and professionals
  • Decision-making: Reflective consideration with the team regarding the contents of policies, and decisions in line with organisational ethics and value.
