Dear Members,
As we come to the close of 2025, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on all that we have achieved together this year. What began as a shared commitment to increase awareness and understanding of Maladaptive Daydreaming (MD) has continued to grow into a vibrant, compassionate, and purposeful community. None of this would be possible without you.
This year has been defined by collaboration, creativity, and quiet determination. Our volunteers, committees, and Board of Directors have given generously of their time, skills, and energy, often behind the scenes, to ensure that the ISMD continues to move forward in its mission. I am continually inspired by their dedication, and I want to extend my sincere thanks to every individual who contributed in ways large and small.

Dr. Amy Lucas, President of ISMD
Together in 2025, we:
· Published the second issue of Dreamweaver Narratives, amplifying lived experience and creative expression within the MD community
· Grew our volunteer team to an incredible 43 individuals supporting our mission across many areas
· Established a Research Committee to actively promote and support MD research
· Created a Research Directory to encourage collaboration and professional connection
· Launched our Silent Read and Write series, offering members a gentle, shared online space for creativity and focus
· Hosted our first All Access Webinar, expanding learning opportunities for our community
· Added a new and growing Resource section to our website for people with MD
· Released the MD Self-Monitoring Log and Journal as part of these resources
· Consistently delivered our newsletter on the 15th of every month, with all editions now accessible on our website
· Introduced an Event Calendar allowing members to easily book and manage event attendance
· Added access to past webinar recordings for members who were unable to attend live
· Maintained active and thriving social media communities on Facebook and Instagram
· Welcomed new members, growing our membership to 72 individuals worldwide
Each of these milestones represents more than a statistic. They reflect connection, persistence, and a shared belief that people living with MD deserve understanding and evidence-based resources and support.
As a non-profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of our community to sustain and expand this work. If you are in a position to do so, I gently remind you that the donation button on our website plays a vital role in supporting our programs, resources, and future initiatives. Every share or contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue this important mission.
Looking ahead to 2026, we remain hopeful and committed. There is still much to learn, much to build, and many voices yet to be heard. With your continued involvement and belief, I am confident that we will keep moving forward together.
Thank you for being part of the ISMD and all that this movement represents.
With sincere appreciation,
Amy Lucas
